Northwest PTO Needs You for 2017-2018

that will be open next school year. If

Nominations for positions will be held on Tuesday, April 4th at 6:30 PM in the Northwest
School Library. Thank you!
Family Fun Night: 2 Chairpersons needed
Responsible
for coordinating Skate Castle and Family Bowlaway Bowling/Laser Tag Nights once
a month. These dates are determined at
the beginning of the school year. Also
responsible for coordinating 2 at-school evening events, typically 1 in the
fall and 1 in the spring. Past events
have included dances, carnival, and luau.
Fundraiser: 2 Chairpersons needed
Responsible
for coordinating a fall and spring fundraiser.
Previous fundraisers have included a sports theme ticket raffle in the
fall and a Sarris Candy sale in the spring.
Points for Education: 1 Chairperson needed
Responsible
for coordinating 2 Box Tops collections each year, one in October and the other
in February. Also, promote and track
Giant Eagle Apples for Education online funds that the school earns.
School Spirit: 1 Chairperson needed
Responsible
for coordinating purchase orders of all school spirit apparel items. Works with a chosen vendor and arranges the
details of print designs, price, and distribution. Researches and recommends new spirit item possibilities.
Field Day: 2 Chairpersons needed
Biggest
event of the year! Responsible for
coordinating activities/snacks and approximately 100 volunteers for all
Northwest students at the end of the school year.
Welcoming: 2 Chairpersons needed
Responsible for
preparing Kindergarten Orientation Day Welcome Bags. Also responsible for the annual Open House
and Grandparent’s Night refreshments area.
Audit Coordinator: 1 person
needed
Responsible
for conducting the annual audit of PTO ledgers at the close of the school year.
Coordinator can appoint 1 person to assist them with the audit.
