Northwest Elementary School PTO Meeting

       I.          Meeting is called to order by the President or Vice-President. Called to order by Jennifer Swartzbeck.

     II.           Officer Roll Call

b.      Book Fair/Literacy

·        Suessabration Feb 27-March 3^rd

·        2 volunteers are needed to run registers on Grandparents Night (May 3^rd) Jess Cancilla and Jenn Rice volunteered.

c.      Family Fun Nights

                                                    i.     Valentine Party is set.

                                                   ii.     Bowling/Laser Tag is good to go. Volunteer signup sheet is in teacher lounge.

                                                  iii.     Michelle Doutt is stepping down as chair from Family Fun Nights effective immediately. We are not sure the status of the other chairpersons.

                                                  iv.     Jess Cancilla will be the contact person for Family Bowlaway.

d.      Field Day

e.      Fundraiser

Sarris Candy fundraiser will be March 1-15. Orders need to be placed no later than Mar 22^nd. Pick up will be April 12 from 5-6:30 pm.

f.       Homeroom Party Coordinators

Valentine’s Day party volunteers are good.

g.      Points for Education

Pie a teacher – 8 volunteers! Collection of Box Tops and Tyson labels ends Feb 16^th. The pie-ing will be Feb 23 at 2:30.

h.      School Spirit

There was a Facebook post asking what items people would like to be able to purchase. Decided on zipper fleece, gym shorts, baseball tees, regular tees. Jess had a few designs with her to get feedback from the PTO members.

i.       Yearbook

Sent the $1000 deposit. 104 sold. Need to order 226.

  VII.          New Business

a.      Mrs Augustine is looking for volunteers for “Jump Rope for the Heart”. She needs 10 volunteers total.

b.      Jennifer S was informed of an ill child who was in the hospital. The officers discussed and agreed to put together a basket of coloring books, pens, etc for the child.
