Northwest Elementary School PTO Meeting

       I.          Meeting is called to order by the President or Vice-President. Called to order by Jennifer Swartzbeck.

     II.           Officer Roll Call

    III.          Approval of Minutes from previous meeting

     V.          Mr Ratica News

Clearances – School Board has changed policy, Mr. Ratica is to address this.  One change was that there is no longer a need for license swipes for parties.

    VI.          Committee reports

b.      Book Fair/Literacy

Book Fair sold $6324.11; profit $1401.54; PTO paid sales tax $357.97

Next Book Fair will be May 1^st-5^th

Book Giveaway will be Dec. 21^st, books were accrued from past book fairs.

Ms. Gattens requested funds for the accelerated reader program to purchase snacks and more t-shirts.  A vote was taken and all in favor.

Bowling/laser tag night to start in January

e.      Fundraiser

Raffle Ticket Fundraiser sold 1427 tickets= $7135; $1100 in expenses; approx. $6000 profit.

Top sellers were: Dominic Cancilla; Maddix Pacoe; Braden Kiser

Winners were drawn: ipod- Talbot Dusheck; 1^st game tickets- Kim Salsgiver; 2^nd game tickets- Allison Holt; 3^rd game tickets- M. Dusheck

Next Fundraiser will be Sarris candy sale in the spring.

Brittney announced that this will be the last year for her and Erika as Fundraising chairs.

f.       Homeroom Party Coordinators

Winter Party on Dec. 22^nd

g.      Points for Education

Flyer to go out for a Dec. collection before the break.

h.      School Spirit

New Shirt for New Year will be going out when we come back from break.  352 shirts= $1672

i.       Yearbook

Flyers- Early Bird $17 until Jan 31^st then the price will increase to $20. Can order online.

  VII.          New Business

·        Still seeking Vice-President, notice to go out so position can be voted on at January meeting.  Must be present at the meeting.

·        Vote taken and passed to get Mrs. Wick a kidney shaped table, approximate cost $216.79 before tax/shipping.  Table is to replace the table ordered in June by previous Kindergarten teacher that came in damaged and was sent back.
